The mill resides on a whale-backed ridge above the town, which also carries a water tower, and on the southern slope a well laid out rock garden. It was built in or moved to its current position from Rauma in Satakunta in 1843.
The interior of this mill was so choked with stories of various kinds that it can only be said that the brake wheel drives a lantern wallower and the clasp arm great spur wheel drives a single pair of underdrift stones with a wood nut. The sails span approximately 49 ft., have a total width of 70 in. at the tip, and the stock extend outwards for two-and-a-half of the seven bays. This is unusual as in most cases there are no whips.
