The mill is Grade II Listed and converted to a house, retaining the remains of two waterwheels. Hope Mill, rebuilt c.1768, had two wheels, one a breastwheel, 13' x 6', of which only the shaft remains, and an overshot wheel 9' x 9', which survives without its buckets. Each had its separate set of iron machinery turning two pairs of stones; the mill ceased working in 1937 and the machinery was scrapped when the mill was house converted in the 1950's.
