A-Z of Norfolk windmills

A-Z of Norfolk windmills

A visual guide through aerial photography

Page, Mike / Yardy, Alison
Qty £15.00

Norfolk is famed as a county of windmills and there is no better way of seeing them than from the air. In this superbly illustrated book, using aerial photographs taken by Mike Page, the reader is taken on a flight across the county looking at most of the sites where windmills are still to be seen. In total there are more than 200 sites with some visible remains. There is a great variety in what has become of the mills since they ended work: some are beautifully restored, some remain picturesque derelicts and some are perhaps not immediately recognisable as windmill remains. This is the first time that such a comprehensive aerial listing has been attempted, and with Alison Yardy’s expert commentary, this book casts a fresh perspective on the subject.

This is a hard back book, with blue cloth boards and a gold lettered spine. It comes with a pictorial dust wrapper.

It measures 235mm x 222mm, and has 144pp.
